Psychology and Biblical Counseling: Can conviction and curiosity coexist? – Counsel for Life
In this episode we talk about our love for gospel-centered counseling, as well as our curiosity about advances in the field of psychology. We discuss the need for biblical counselors to be deeply theological in their scientific inquiry, putting the understanding of Scripture and the attributes of God above all else. We also talk about the potential helpfulness of staying up-to-date on what the field of psychology is discovering. Finally, we share a bit of a preview about what's coming in Season 6.Become a friend of the podcast by subscribing! Hi Eliza and Beth! I am a biblical counselor with Cedar Cove in the Twin Cities, and have been so encouraged and helped by your podcast. Thank you! Is there a way to view previous episodes? I’m not sure how to access episodes from a few months ago. There are a couple that you put out a while back that I’ve been wanting to have some counselees listen to, but I’m unable to find them (ie: the one on negative thoughts, and the one on telling your story). Thanks!
